In addition to the existing notifications you already receive for creating and updating issues and adding comments, you can now receive notifications addressed to you directly in Slack. No more missing out on critical updates – everything you need will be right there in Slack.

In Backlog, a personal notification is sent whenever you’re tagged in a comment, a new issue, an updated issue, or you’re assigned to an issue. With our latest Slack integration update, these notifications will now pop up as direct messages, ensuring you never miss an important update.

How to set it up

Setting up this feature is a breeze. Here’s how you can get started:

1. Install the Backlog App for Slack
   If you’ve already installed it, you don’t need to reinstall it.
2. Run the Slash Command /backlog settings in Slack
3. Click the “Enable” Button in the message that appears
4. Setup is Complete

Now, every time you receive a personal notification in Backlog, you’ll get a direct message in Slack, keeping you informed and up-to-date.
