Goodbye Flash! Cacoo is migrating to HTML5
A big change is coming to Cacoo: we’re ditching Flash for HTML5.
Since Cacoo was created in 2009, we have been using Flash for our editing interface. At one time, it was incredibly popular for its ability to enable advanced graphical expressions on the web unaffected by a user’s operating environment.
Nowadays, there are a lot of concerns surrounding security. Meanwhile, HTML5 has grown in its ability to encode rich graphics, and it has slowly overtaken Flash in the market.
In response to the changing technological landscape, the Cacoo Development Team has decided to migrate over to HTML5.
