Passwords carry security risks
There are several ways to protect your account; the most common is using a complex password. This method is effective at blocking easily guessed passwords such as
password or `12345.’ It is not effective, however, if someone wrongfully obtains or intercepts your password. Complex passwords are also difficult to remember. Many users find themselves using the same password for multiple websites or making notes of their passwords. These practices, although convenient, pose a major risk to the security of your account. We are now offering a more secure way to manage your password with two-factor authentication.
What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication is a security process using your device, such as a smartphone. This feature adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a verification code at sign in. The verification code can only be retrieved using your smartphone. So even if an unauthorized user acquires your email and password, they will not be able to sign into your account without the verification code.
All you need is a smartphone
You can set up two-factor authentication with your smartphone. Both iPhone and Android can use authenticator apps, as well as any mobile phone that can receive text messages.
After signing into your Nulab Account, you can enable this feature here by following the page navigation steps. Text messages or general authentication applications, such as Google Authenticator and Authy, can be used for our two-factor authentication.
To check or change your current account preferences, click on your account icon in the Global Bar. Next, click on the Settings icon to the right of your name. Finally, select the Security tab on the Settings page.
We will continue to do our best to improve Nulab services and make your account even more secure! Cheers!
