Uses of Project Management Timelines
A project management timeline serves as a roadmap of project goals and the time in which you plan to accomplish them. Project managers use timeline diagrams to keep internal and external stakeholders informed about the most important milestones that will shape organizational strategies over several months or quarters.
Project management timelines are used in every industry to govern projects ranging from product launches to change control procedures to fundraising and grant management. It’s also common for timelines to include key deliverables related to each milestone. When done well, a timeline aids in cross-team collaboration and keeps everyone on the same page.

How to create your own Project Management Timeline
Open the Project Management Timeline in Cacoo, and add a project name to the header.
Next, fill in the intervals being used to organize the project, such as seasons, months, or quarters.
In between the interval markers, list a name and short description for each milestone. What task or product goal defines this milestone?
Finally, remove any content you don’t want to use. You can customize the timeline with brand colors and graphics that represent your organization.
